Step Forward

STEP FORWARD is a new website for undocumented immigrant woman and their families. The goal of the site is to help such individuals understand their rights and how to protect them, as well as to provide them with lists of resources of immigration materials and organizations.

Help Pass H.R. 2095 – The American Families United Act

During the 113th Congress, H.R.3431 The American Families United Act was proposed and it died after it never progressed from a bill into a law to change the current immigration INA. It has been reintroduced during the 114th Congress now as H.R. 2095 and since June 2015 sits in the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Immigration and Border Security.

Deng Thiak Adut, Former Refugee, To Open World Summit On Migration Control

Deng Thiak Adut has been selected to open the World Summit On Migration Control.

Adut was kidnapped from his family at the age of six. He was forced to become a boy soldier and shot in the back at the age of 12. Later he was rescued by the United Nations and smuggled to freedom. He found his way to Sydney, where he went to law school. Today, he is a lawyer fighting for the rights of fellow refugees.

The Second Cooler

The Second Cooler is a documentary about illegal migration shot primarily in Alabama, Arizona, and in northern and central Mexico.

The documentary’s producer, Ellin Jimmerson, seeks to bring migration issues into clearer focus for the American public.
